Deep Dive Series: The Power of No, Period
By Tana M. Mann Easton, Lead Efficiency Engineer
“No,” is a complete sentence. I’ve devoted quite a few blog posts to saying no in a roundabout way, usually without uttering the word at all. But there are times in our lives when a simple “No” is all that’s needed. Without embellishment. Without explanation. We all are living our own lives. And if there is something we do not want in our own lives, we can just say, “No.” Firmly, without pleasantries. I usually only use this one when I feel like someone is trying to deliberately take advantage of me or harm me, so it is a vital piece of my “no” toolkit. “No.” Complete sentence.
