My Brain is a Horrible Place to Store My Tasks
By Tana M. Mann Easton, Lead Efficiency Engineer
If you’re anything like me and most humans, your brain is a horrible place to store your tasks.
If there is a job I would like to do but I can’t immediately start on it, I always get that undertaking out of my brain and into a more stable system. I’m so easily distracted. If I think I ought to do something but I’m already working on something else, I’ll most likely forget my intention for the other task by the time I’m finished with my current project…unless I get that “to do” out of my head.
Some people use planners to get their tasks out of their brains. Others use notebooks or apps. I’ve outsourced the remembering of all of my things to do to Microsoft Outlook. As soon as I decide I want to do something, it goes into my Outlook task list.
We teach people how to use Outlook and Gmail to be a second brain that remembers all of the things you want to accomplish in your days. Contact us if you could use a system to remember all of your tasks as well.
