Favorite Outlook Email File Folders
By Tana M. Mann Easton, Lead Efficiency Engineer
Do you use Microsoft Outlook? Do you have a lot of email file folders in Outlook? Do you spend a ton of time scrolling with your mouse to open or drag emails into those file folders? Did you know that you could designate email file folders as favorites and pin them to the top of your inbox screen? If you didn’t know about this capability, here’s what you do:
Find the email file folder you want to mark as a favorite. Right click with your mouse on that file folder. Choose “Add to Favorites.” That’s it! Then repeat for any additional file folders you want to add to your favorites. I’m constantly filing and deleting items from my Inbox, Sent Items, and Deleted Items, so I have those three folders marked as favorites in Outlook for easy access. Any file folder that you find yourself repeatedly scrolling to access, do yourself a favor and mark it as a favorite. You’ll shave work time off your day.
